How can I become a firefighter in Victor?

Does the Fire Department get cats (or other animals) out of trees?
	No, it would put the firefighters at unnecessary risk. If the animal got up there on it\\\'s own, it will get back down.
Does the Fire Department loan equipment, hoses, etc.?
	No, we do not loan out equipment. Fire Department equipment is reserved for department use only.
What programs are available from the Victor Fire Department?
	The Fire Department offers fire extinguisher training and fire prevention programs. Call 924-3321 for more information.
Can I burn leaves, trees, brush, etc. on my property?
	If you live in the Village of Victor, there is an ordinance that prohibits open burning. If you live in the Town of Victor, contact the D.E.C. for current regulations.
Does the Fire Department fill swimming pools or hot tubs?
	No, and you wouldn\\\'t want the water we pump in your pool or hot tub anyway.
Is the fire hall available for private events?
	The fire hall is available for some types of private events. Call 924-3321 for more information.

	No, generally only the sprinklers in the immediate area of the fire will activate.
What is a Knox Box?
	A Knox Box is a secure box that mounts to the outside of your business and holds entry keys. The fire department has a key to the box and in the event of a problem it allows entry to your business with no damage to your doors or windows. For more information call 924-3321.
