The Victor Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1904 as an All Volunteer fire department and remains 100% Volunteer to this day. Please consider joining us in providing Emergency Services to your friends, families and neighbors.
Some things to know:

The Fire Department provides all necessary training and equipment to you free of charge.

You must pass a physical examination to become a member.

You do not have to enter burning buildings if you don't want to.

You will be expected to complete the New York State Basic Firefighter course (13 sessions of 3 hours each) within 2 years of joining. Classes are held in Canandaigua.

You will be expected to participate in weekly department training sessions. These are held most Monday nights.
Membership requirements:

You must be at least 18 years of age.

You must either live in or work at least 30 hours per week in the Town or Village of Victor.

You must pass a physical examination (provided free of charge).

You must agree to a criminal background (arson) investigation
